Pit Buehler spent years photographing the world's best ballet dancers. Ten works from the «Ballet Perfection» series were exhibited in the foyer and corridor of the community hall.

To mark the end of the «Ballet Perfection» exhibition, Kultur Steinhausen and the municipality invited guests to a demiere with a personal discussion and guided tour by the photographer on January 4. Toni Schmid, President of Kultur Steinhausen, welcomed the guests on behalf of the municipality and invited them to a New Year's aperitif before the guests split into two groups to follow the explanations of art photographer Pit Buehler on a tour. Pit Buehler, who lives in Steinhausen, introduced visitors to this extraordinary «Ballet Perfection» series with his explanations of his encounters, locations and experiences. This impressive and extraordinary series was created in collaboration with the renowned Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow, the National Ballet Theater in Minsk and the Leningrad Center in St. Petersburg. A corresponding illustrated book has also been produced from this series.

Photographs are staged in the studio
Pit Buehler is a «performing arts photographer» and «portraitist». Buehler stages his subjects with virtuosity and manages his technical equipment with ultimate perfection. In his artistic work, Buehler does not take photos during a performance. He prefers to set up a studio on location where he can not only control the lighting, but also guide the dancers and artists in exploring the expressive possibilities of photographed movement - combined with his unique portrait style and capturing their art in motion. He has traveled to more than 90 countries and regularly realizes photographic projects for national and international exhibitions. His work has been recognized with international awards and publications. Pictures from his photo series have won awards at various international photo competitions and are represented in exhibitions worldwide. The event lasted two hours and the attendees were clearly impressed and satisfied.
